Brodart-style sleeve
Dust jackets(s) with a Brodart-style, paper-backed, protective sleeve fitted by previous owner.
222pp. Black cloth-covered boards; gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Rubbed spine ends. Top text block edge foxing and tanning, remaining edges starting to tan and fox. Front free endpaper removed, previous owner's name on half-title page; volume a little loose; lender's rubber stamp on copyright page. Otherwise, internally neat and clean. Dust jacket slightly tanned, protected with Brodart-style sleeve, has light shelf wear and chipping to edges, mirrors book damage, not price clipped. Born in Cheshire in 1925, Peter Gammond was a British music critic, writer, journalist, poet and artist.
