378pp. Green cloth-covered boards; gilt titles on spine. 12mo. Appears to be a lender's re-bind. Sun-faded spine; rubbed corners and spine ends with cloth wearing, quite cocked with wear to boards. Text block edges tanning. Endpapers just starting to tan; Lender's stamps and markings on front free endpaper, title and copyright pages, volume quite loose. Otherwise, internally neat, clean and bright. A discussion of the treatment and significance of love in medieval and Renaissance times, tracing the rise and fall of the popularity and penetrate of the concept and practice of courtly love.
