vi, 186pp.  Emerald cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine.  Upper text block edge sprayed pink.  12mo.  Cloth is a little bruised and bumped at spine ends.  Internally neat. clean, bright and tight.  In its original paper dust wrapper, worn, lightly toned, rubbed and bumped at edges, sunned over spine. The autobiography of aristocrat and political activist, Jessica Mitford (first published under the title Daughters and Rebels), recounting her childhood and her life long tensions with her sister Unity and Diana both of whom were committed Nazi supporters.  Mitford emigrated to the US and, along with her second husband, joined the communist party.
