Four Very Detailed Maps, London 1863: All of London with the Surrounding Countryside and Outlying Villages such as Hampstead, Stratford, Merton and Beckenham

Four folded colour maps, each 6 inches to one mile in scale, presented in an cardboard case.  8vo.  The maps are in fine condition; the box is a little bruised and gently rubbed on corners. These maps, showing London and its environs in 1863, as so detailed that they show individual building, the gardens of suburban houses, platforms at the new railway stations and individual statutes in London's squares.  In four sheets produced facsimile from the original hand-coloured maps.
