[1940]Β First English language edition, first printing.Β 160pp, with monochrome plate frontispiece, further monochrome plates interleafed in text and a map.Β Red cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on the spine. 12mo.Β Cloth is tired and lightly marked, gently rounded at corners, rubbed at ends of a heavily sunned spine.Β Text block edgesΒ toned.Β Internally endpapers and pages are a little browned, and some pages have bumped corners.Β A good reading/reference copy which is complete, firmly bound and square.
