Reprint. xxiv, 288pp, copiously illustrated in text and a handful of stunning colour plates, large double spread map of Middle Earth etc. Pictorial glazed boards. 4to. Text block edges a little dust marked, especially the upper edge else volume is neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. In its original slightly shelf worn, not price clipped dust wrapper, a little bumped at extreme edges.
A wonderful textual and visual celebration of the animals, beasts, monsters and beings that inhabit Tolkien's fantastical and mythological world of Middle Earth.
