Victor Leonard Allen (1923 - 2014) was a bricklayer, communist, human rights activist, political prisoner, and emeritus professor Leeds University. He worked closely with British trade unions, and was active in resistance to Apartheid in South Africa. His 'The Russians as Coming' was the first detailed examination of Anti-Sovietism
