All eight parts of Volume II of Venture, the journal of the Civil Service Council for Further Education, issued between 1954 and 1957, bound together into a single volume.  Includes numerous drawings and black and white illustrations.  Blue cloth-covered boards, gilt titles on the spine.  12mo. Cloth a little tired and marked, gently sunned over the spine.  Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. The Civil Service Council for Further Education, which was established in the mid 1950s and operated until the late 1970s, promoted and encouraged general education of British civil servants, providing information on educational facilities, opportunities and methods distinct from vocational training.
