Facsimile reprint.  xvi, 320pp, with numerous black and white illustrations.  Cream cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine.  8vo.  Cloth very slightly pushed in at spine tips. Hint of shadowing on the endpapers else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original laminated, glossy dust wrapper, not price clipped, a little bumped on extreme edges, circa 8mm nick at the head of the spine which has been sealed with tape on the interior. Part of a series of facsimile reprints of some of the New Naturalist series issued by Bloomsbury Books in the late 1980s and 1990s.
