First edition, first impression.  196pp, plus black and white plate illustrations, one large fold-out map at rear.  Sea blue cloth-covered boards, gilt titles front and spine.  8vo.  Cloth is worn, a little faded around edges and gently rounded on corners and spine ends.  Text block edges lightly toned but slightly affecting page margins.  Gift inscription inked on the front free endpaper else internally neat, clean and tight.  In its original illustrated dust wrapper, price clipped, rubbed at corners and one edges, shelf worn, a little toning on verso and gently bumped at edges of slightly sunned spine.  Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
