The Glasgow Boys were a informal grouping of young,ย radical,ย painters working out of Glasgow in the latter decades of the 19th century, including Sir James Guthrie, Sir John Lavery, Edward Atkinson, George Henry and a couple of dozen or so more.ย Together they reshaped Scottish art, many becoming internationally popular and commercially successful.ย By the end of the 19th century most had moved away from Glasgow.
