A volume exploring the history of Wentworth Woodhouse, the grade I listed country house in Wentworth, South Yorkshire, original rebuilt by the Marquess of Rockingham in the 18th century; and the families who have lived there. The estate was vastly expanded by the 2nd Marquess who twice served as Prime Minister and established Wentworth Woodhouse as a centre of Whig influence.
