Date written and embossed ownership stamp on front free endpaper, else neat, clean, tight and bright throughout. In its original dust jacket (slightly bumped at edges, taped to endpapers, lamination creasing). The well-respected Cornish nature writer reflects on the beauty and cruelty of the sea, through accounts of bygone adventures, including the launch of Spray of Glendorgal from Falmouth, and that of the Neptune Buss in 1756.
