Neat, tight and bright volume throughout barring inscription on front free endpaper and marginal annotations scattered throughout and manuscript notes on pp185-187, else near fine. Baldwin, in the first account of Elizabeth Woodville's life to appear for over 50 years, questions whether Edward IV's queen consort deserves her reputation for cold-hearted calculation and in doing so brings to life the personal and domestic politics of Yorkist England.
