First edition. xxviii, 412pp. In deep green buckram cloth-covered boards with blind tooling and gilt decorations and lettering (boards a little rubbed at edges, mildly rounded at spine ends and corners). Creamy-yellow endpapers. Internally neat, clean and bright, barring rear hinge crack. Bookbinder's ticket on rear paste down, indicating that the volume was bound by Galwey & Co, bookbinders of 22, Eustace Street, Dublin. An account of the genealogies of leading Irish families, from the 'stem of the Irish Nation from Adam down to Milesius of Spain' etc, including O'Farrells, Guinness, O'Conor, O'Moore, M'Carthy, O'Brien, O'Sullivan etc, organised on a regional basis and articles on related matters such as The Chief Irish Families in Munster; The Kings of Munster since the advent of St Patrick; Ancient and Proper Names ; the Stem of the Royal Family etc. Thick 12mo.
