48pp. Blue publisher's cloth-covered boards with silver vignette and lettering (just a tad faded at margins). With line drawings by Edgar Norfield. Internally neat, clean, fresh and bright. Firmly bound. In 'The Small Miracle' Gallico wrote a new story in the same genre at his The Snow Goose, one of the best loved stories of the mid 20th century. The Small Miracle tells of the adventures of a little Italian boy whose donkey fell sick and seemed likely to die. But the child had faith, and was sure that if he could just his donkey to St Francis, all would be well. Filmed as Never Take No For an Answer. A lovely copy.
