358pp. Rich blue endpapers, colour plate frontispiece, 6 further colour plate illustrations and vignettes and decorations in text. Upper and fore- text block edges sprayed blue. The special contents of this edition of the classic children's tale, Jo's Boys, are copyright 1949. Illustrated cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on blue printed spine label (boards a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends). Internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring corner crease last three leaves. Beautiful edition. Issued by Grosset and Dunlap in 1949 as part of its Illustrated Junior Library series.
