First edition, first printing (true first). 506pp. In grey cloth-covered boards, with gilt lettering on spine (boards are strong, square and clean, with just a little rounding at corners and spine tips). Internally neat, clean and bright. In its original dust jacket, designed by Will Carter (price clipped, lightly bumped on edges, slightly sunned on spine). A well-crafted tale about honour and innocence, lost and found and about the vicissitudes of a deep friendship. Dust jacket now protected in an archival quality Mylar wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
