Wind in the Willows

320pp, coloured maps on endpapers with E H Shephard's delightful line drawing illustrations, some in colour, throughout. In green cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on spine (boards are strong and square, just slightly rounded and rubbed at spine tips). Internally neat, clean and bright. Previous owner's name neatly inscribed on flyleaf. In its original dust jacket (lightly chipped at edges, small strip of discolouration - where exposed to the light - at top of inner flaps), now protected in a Bordart- style protective wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. A lovely, vintage copy of this classic children's tale. Unusually, this state features Toad's caravan on the front of the dust jacket, rather than the more usual riverside boating scene.
