1st ed, 1st printing (true first) [1953]. 208pp. Illustrations by Peter Biegel. Red cloth-covered boards, in pictorial dust jacket (DJ a little rubbed and nicked on edges, minor loss at head of spine, price clipped. A lovely pony story from a writer who less well known than she deserves. This is perhaps the best-known of her books, but all now hard to find. They are worth seeking out although can be expensive. First editions in sound condition, in dust jackets, like this one, are particularly scarce.
