With 24 illustrations by the author (one absent). 6pp publisher's catalogue at rear. Tissue-guarded frontispiece (tissue spotted). Some mild toning and occasional pencil markings, especially on rear endpapers. One signature starting. Previous owner's name (dated 1875) on front endpaper. Classic children's tale by Charles Henry Bennett a prolific illustrator who pioneered new techniques in comic illustration. Hard to find thus, its original edition.
