There's a previous price written on the front free endpaper, else internally neat, clean and tight. Retells stories behind the making of great music, starting with Handel's water music and its associations with George I and oarsmen racing on the Thames for Doggett's Coat and Badge, a Thames rowing race which pre-dates the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, being founded by Thomas Doggett in 1715. 12mo.
