Not dated but circa 1930. 288pp, with four plate illustrations by John Campbell. In blue cloth pictorial boards, illustrated front and spine (boards very slightly rounded on corners and spine ends, some spotting on text block edges). Elegant prize presentation plate on front free endpaper, indicating the volume was awarded to one Nellie Doreen O'Haway by the Faversham Sunday School Union in 1934. Small bookseller's ticket on front paste down, indicating the volume was once in the stock of A M Edwards, Bookseller and Stationer of Preston Street, Faversham. A little scattered spotting on prelims, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A lovely, solid vintage volume of this classic school-girl story. 12mo.
