Bound in green publisher's decorated cloth boards, three colour stamping with gilt and silver lettering front and spine. Bevelled edges. All edges gilt. Deep green endpapers. Small 4to. . Boards rubbed at edges, markedly at spine tips, generally worn with some mild shelf wear visible on verso. Hinges cracked, some loosening. Prize presentation plate on front paste down, dated 1902. Some paper scars on front free endpaper; rear free endpaper has flat creasing. Faint and occasional spotting on prelims only; hint of tanning in extreme page margins. Still an attractive volume. A collection of articles, stories and poetry with moral and sentimental themes for young readers.
