First edition. xii, 338pp. Orange and red laminated light card covers, white titles on spine and front. 8vo. Sun-faded spine, light chipping to edges and wear to covers, corners slightly curled; very small label on front cover. Top text block edge starting to fox, remaining edges just starting to fox. Internally a neat, clean, bright and tight volume. The authors wrote - Only here does one find a coherent explanation of why a struggle for freedom, equality, personal dignity and group identity was futile in a society whose dominant group avowedly espoused the values these goals embarrassed.
