A homage to and history of the little known area of the Southern Drakensburg - the Umkomazana Valley and the Sani Pass. It is a study of the people who came and went and the natural environment, as well as the story of the more recent opening up of the route over the Sani Pass - the mountain pass in the west of KwaZulu-Natal on the road between Himeville and Mokhotlong in Lesotho. The route is part of the Roof of Africa Rally.
