First edition. 208pp, illustrated. Deep blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles and decoration on spine. 8vo. Very slightly rounded on corners and spine tips. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original laminated, illustrated dust jacket, a little bumped at edges. Forbes takes the reader through a botanical and archaeological exploration of Turkey, with a landrover and camp-kit, which leads him from the western frontier with Greece to the eastern region bordering Iran.
