Heavy sun-fading around board edges, shelf number stickers around spine and extending onto boards and pastedowns, extremities heavily rubbed with cloth wearing through in places, corners heavily rounded; text block edges heavily tanned, bottom edge has a lender's stamp. Endpapers moderately worn and soiled, front free endpaper has an <8cm section of loss at top edge; lender's markings on front endpapers, rear pastedown, title page and copyright page; hinges have bookbinders tape; occasional very light foxing throughout volume.
