Reprint. xii, 340pp. In red cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on spine. Top edge sprayed pale blue. Pale blue endpapers. 12mo. Very slightly rounded at spine ends. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket, a little rubbed at corners and spine ends, price clipped, note regarding sizing and pricing of the new format series crossed out on front inner flap. A collection of sketches on English village life in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, many of which first appeared in the Lady's Magazine. No. 927 in the Everyman's Library series.
