Dust jackets(s) with a Brodart-style, paper-backed, protective sleeve fitted by previous owner.
[1947]. 224pp. Blue cloth boards with dark blue titles on spine. 12mo. Boards rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, tarnished towards edges. Upper text block edge dust darkened. Previous owner's name inked on front free endpaper. Hint of page aging, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket a little rubbed and chipped at edges, tiny loss at spine ends, but still vibrant. Dust jacket now protected in a Brodart-style sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. Described on the dust jacket as 'A lively novel of New York while still an English Colony - the story of America's first obstetrician'.
