Not dated but c 1910. 466pp. Blue cloth boards, illustrated and gilt decorated, gilded spine illustration (a little rubbed at edges, rounded at spine tips and corners). Colour plate frontispiece and further decorations in text. Previous owner's name on front and rear endpaper. Neat, clean, bright and tight. Before the advent of dust jackets, many books, especially those for children were bound in brightly coloured cloth with pictorial blocking in gold and colours, often on the spine as well as the front board. This volume is one of those, a part of the Kingston Library edition of Kingston's works for children.
