Gilded upper edge, rough cut fore-edge. 81 full page illustrations, paintings of English country scenes, each guarded and captioned, and engraved and printed by the Hentschel Colourtype Co. Previous owner's bookplate on chipped fly leaf, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A magnificent, handsome volume depicting England in a past time, towards the end of the 19th century.
