Peg bound in strong, blue cloth-covers, gilt stamped titles on front. Marbled endpapers. 8vo. Cloth a little worn. Hint of page toning else neat, clean and tight. A history of the family company that started as a fire insurance firm first incorporated in 1782, the Phoenix Fire Office and developed, over the course of hundreds of years, into Phoenix Assurance (eventually taken over in the 1980s by Sun Alliance). Attractive if somewhat unusual in appearance.
