First edition.  228pp, plus a handful of monochrome plate illustrations.  In green cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on spine. Maps on endpapers.  8vo.  Volume very slightly cocked, previous owner's attractive bookplate on front paste down,  with a little faint and occasional spotting on text block edges, else neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original illustrated dust jacket, heavily worn and rubbed on edges and folds, gently bumped at edges, with some visible shelf wear on verso.
