1945.  First edition, first impression.  190pp, with colour plate frontispiece piece and numerous further monochrome plate illustrations and drawings in text.  In orange cloth-covered boards with black lettering on front and spine.  Illustrated coloured endpapers.   8vo.  Cloth is worn and marked, lightly rubbed and rounded at corners and tips of a sunned spine.  Doodle on front panel.  Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  Published in 1945 for the 1945-46 soccer season, and produced to war economy standards. The first volume in a seris of football annuals published by Evans Brothers between 1945 and the 1960, see described as the very first mass market soccer annual and as such a key piece of football fan history.
