First edition, first impression.  vi, 217pp, colour plate frontispiece and line drawings in text.  Yellow cloth-covered boards with black lettering.  12mo.  Boards a little soiled, gently rounded at corners and spine ends.  A scattering of minor indentations on front free endpaper else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original dust wrapper, a little rubbed along cut edges, sunned and marked on spine, 3mm closed tear on lower edge of verso. Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar sleeve fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. Frank Richards was one of the many pen names of Charles Hamilton (1876-1961), one of the most popular and prolific authors of boy's school stories and long-running series stories featuring recurring characters.  Perhaps best known for the Greyfriars School stories featuring Billy Bunter, he also created St Jim's School starring Tom Merry and Rockwood School, under the pen name Owen Conquest.  We have many Charles Hamilton books in stock and can offer generous discounts to those ordering more than one book at a time - please inquire.
