Mackeson comments on one of the manuscripts in his collection - an account book of the Fraternity dated 1466-1532. Mackeson (1812-1894) discovered a group of reptile bones in the Lower Greensend near Hythe, which he later presented to the British Museum. F William Cock was a Kentish antiquarian and amateur historian (1858-1943).
