Dust jacket spine sun-faded, has soiling, shelf wear, chipping to edges, mirrors book damage, not price clipped. Carlotta Grisi (1819-1899) was an Italian ballerina who performed all over the world, creating a sensation in the role of Giselle in a production which premiered in Paris in 1840. She was prima ballerina at the St Petersburg Imperial Theatre from 1850 to 1853.
