26pp. Printed on handmade paper with elaborate, extensive hand coloured decorations and initial capitals. Tissue-guarded portrait frontispiece and illuminated title page. In plain beige card boards with black linen spine (boards rubbed and a little soiled). Internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring scuffing on front endpaper and occasional faint spotting on prelims. A lovely, evocative pen portrait of William Morris and his career as an artist, architect and designer, his associations with the likes of Rosetti and Holman Hunt and his left-leaning political philosophy. Attractive, slim volume, beautifully put together.
