iii, 332, iv-vi, plus financial year calendar.  The volume itself is not illustrated but contains several illustrated contemporary advertisements.  Bound in red cloth-covered boards with black lettering front and spine. 8vo.  Cloth is worn and a little faded, gently rounded at corners and spine tips.  Spine sunned.  Some scattered spotting on first and last few leaves, hint of toning throughout, else internally neat, clean and tight. The Empire Municipal Directory was a recognised work for official reference containing ‘complete and authoritative lists of all the corporations, county, urban and rural district councils, with their populations, municipal undertakings, names of their adminstrative officials, etc in Great Britain, the colonies and overseas dominions and a compendium of information relative to municipal engineering and public health work and progress’.
