52pp with 20 colour etchings by David Hockney. Signed by David Hockney on the title page, where he has also drawn a doodle which appears to be a clown (approximately 4 inches tall). Card covered boards, a little worn at edges; remnants of label on front endpapers. Page 15 has a small, ink pen stroke. In its original dust jacket, heavily rubbed at edges, cracked at top and bottom of leading edge, scuffed at corners and spine ends. Jacket fitted with archival-quality mylar wrapper to protect & prolong its life. It is not adhered to the book or to the jacket. A catalogue which documents the publication of Hockney's The Blue Guitar, a group of 20 etchings by David Hockney, accompanied here by Wallace Steven's poem, The Man With the Blue Guitar.
