Dust jacket(s) with a Mylar-style protective sleeve fitted by a previous owner.
First edition, first impression. x, 314pp. Red cloth-covered boards, gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Cloth slightly rounded at spine ends. Some faint toning on endpapers and text block edges only else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. In its original illustrated dust wrapper, a little chipped at edges with minor loss at spine end. Old tape repair on interior. Dust wrapper now protected in Mylar-style wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
A new collection of cases for Sherlock Holmes from John Dickson Carr and Adrian Conan Doyle, son of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, completing tales referenced in the original stories but never resolved.
