242pp. Grey cloth-covered boards, gilt titles on spine. 12mo. Slightly sun-faded spine, rubbed spine ends. Top text block edge tanning, remaining edges starting to tan. Bookseller's label on front pastedown, volume a little loose. Otherwise, internally neat, clean and bright. Dust jacket tanning, has 8cm closed tear to spine heel (internal tape repair), light shelf wear, chipping to edges, mirrors book damage, not price clipped. Spender of was one of a grouo of leading left-wing writers and artists who became influential in the first half of the 20th century.  This work contains his views on post-war Germany and British  policy towards Europe.
