First edition, first impression.  422pp.  Dark blue cloth-covered boards with blind rules on front panel, gilt-stamped lettering on spine.  8vo.  Cloth a little worn with a few mild marks, gently pushed at corners and spine ends.  Mild toning to text block edges.  Previous owner's label on front paste down and previous owner's name neatly inked on front free endpaper else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A first edition copy of Mackenzie's 1927 comedy thriller inspired by his time in Capri prior to the first world war.
