First edition.  viii, 216pp.  Blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine  8vo.  Cloth gently pushed at spine tail, a little marked around upper edge.  Upper text block edge dust marked.  Internally neat, clean, bright and tight, with original publisher's compliment's slip loosely laid in.  In its original dust wrapper, lightly bumped on edges with short nick and rubbing around spine tail, mildly shelf worn. An exploration and analysis of the relationships between education, schools and societal power, which argues that is a mistake both to see schools simply as factories for producing social leaders and to assume that the relationship between education and power is single facetted.
