178pp, tissue-guarded portrait plate frontispiece, further black and white photographic plates. Purple cloth-covered boards; blind-embossed border on boards, gilt titles on front and spine. 8vo. Cloth is worn and marked, rubbed all round edges and bumped on corners, sunned over spine.ย Text block edges dusted and spotted.ย Endpapers a little toned, with a small bookseller's ticket on the front paste down, else internally neat, clean and tight.
The memoirs of the English conductor, composer and music teacher, Sir Landon Ronald (1873-1938).ย An earlier enthusiast of recorded music, he had a long time association with the Gramophone Company (which became EMI).
