The Frightened Lamp-post

First edition, first impression.  74, [4 - publisher's ads]pp, with colour plate frontispiece, further colour plate and full-page monochrome illustrations.   8vo.  Blue cloth-covered boards, yellow lettering front and spine.  8vo.  Cloth is marked and indented, a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends. Front hinge partially cracked.  A little faint spotting on first and last few leaves else internally neat, bright and clean.  Original illustrated dust wrapper, worn, torn and rubbed, with clumsy tape repairs and some shelf wear, price clipped.  Dust jacket now protected in an archival quality Mylar wrapper fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. A readable copy, with bright and enchanting illustrations of this unusual children's take of a lamp-post who not only lights the High Street but also foils crimes.  Very hard to find title.
