First edition.  xii, 416pp, with six photogravure plate illustrations and 33 other illustrations.  Red cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering front and spine, gilded arms on upper panel.  Title page printed in red and black. Top edge gilt.  8vo.  Cloth a little tired, rubbed at edges and a little rounded on corners and spine ends, a few minor indentations on edges, spine a little sunned.  Text block edges grubby.  Some faint and occasional spotting on first and last few leaves; bookplate on front paste down else neat and clean. Square and firmly bound.
