My Long Life: An Autobiographical Sketch

First edition.  264pp, with monochrome plate frontispiece and seven further monochrome plates.  Green cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering and decoration front and spine.  Black endpapers.  12mo.  Cloth worn and faded around edges and spine, rubbed at spine ends.  Some mild toning in page margins, gutter strained ahead of title page. Mary Cowden-Clarke (nee Novello) (1809-1898) was an English authoress and daughter of Vincent Novello, the organist and founder of the Novello music publishing house.  She is perhaps best remembered for her concordance of the works of Shakespeare.
