512pp, with several black and white plate illustrations.  Half bound in red leather over marbled boards, gilt lettering on the spine.  Decorated endpapers. 12mo.  Boards are rubbed at edges, rounded on corners and spine ends, small chips at head of a sunned spine.  Text block edges toned.  Hinges cracked and front free endpaper creased.  Title page partially detached and a little chipped and creased on edges, else internally neat and clena.  Firmly bound.
